Scanning and tablet
Prepare, scan, close.
Stockys is scan-first: the intended way to move goods is to prepare a document and then scan them, from the computer with a scanner or from a tablet. Without a scanner you type, and the flow does not change.
01 · The life of a document
Always the same, for every type.
Draft
Expected lines are built by search, from a CSV file or with a preparatory scan. This is the only moment when a document can be deleted.
Confirmed
Expected lines are fixed and stock has not moved yet. Reopening the document makes them editable again.
Picking
You scan, or record the quantity by hand. The feed says who scanned what, and the counter how much is left.
Closed
Stock moves, fully or partially, and the document is archived keeping its final status.
Scan without stopping.
With a scanner or with the tablet camera. You record multiple quantities without repeating the scan, undo the last one if you got it wrong, and always see how much is done and how much is expected.
- A second barcode of the same variant is recognised as such
- A quantity can also be recorded by hand, and the history keeps track of it
- Unplanned lines are accepted where the document type allows them

A code that does not add up does not block you.
Unknown, ambiguous because two different variants carry it, or simply not expected by this document: it goes into a visible list with the reason, and the next scan goes through anyway.
- The reason is written down, not left to guess
- No scan is lost while you sort the code out
- The list stays with the document, and empties as you fix it
Work without a connection too.
Scans stay queued on the device and you are told how many are waiting. They are sent on their own after reconnection. Closing and reopening the application while offline does not lose the work done.

Every scan has a name.
Warehouse staff identify themselves with a PIN and scans are recorded in their name, with no password account needed. In the feed you see who scanned what.

- The PIN attributes the work, it does not protect it
